Sowing[]

Sow indoors from January to March for greenhouse crops, March to April for outdoor crops. Sow thinly in pots or trays of seed compost, cover with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Keep at approximately 15-20°C (60-68°F). Seedlings usually appear in 7-14 days.[2][3]

Transplanting[]

When plants reach a height of 10cm (4in) transplant to individual pots and keep at approximately 15°C (60°F).

Greenhouse[]

Transplant to growing positions April-May.[2]

Outdoor[]

Stand outside for a few days in late May (avoid frosts). Transplant to a sunny spot outside.[3]

Aftercare[]

Pinch out side shoots regularly and growing tips once 5-6 trusses have set. Apply a liquid feed every 2-3 weeks when first trusses have set.[2] Support if necessary.[3]

Harvest[]

Once fruit is fully ripened. June to October for greenhouse crops and August to October for outdoor.[2]
