Planting woes

I have noticed that over the years that in my vegetable garden various plants do not work well next to each other. For example tomatoes and peas, the tomatoes will take over the peas. Also I noticed that zucchini and cucumber and do not plant well together either. Is there a place where I can find out what works best to plant next to each other.
