Adult carrot weevils may attack carrot crops once the they reach the first true leaf stage. Adults lay their eggs from mid-May in the petioles or crown of carrots and seal them inside. Once hatched the larvae will consume the carrot flesh[1].
Symptoms[]
Young plants can be killed by tunnelling larvae and leaves will wilt. Damage is not otherwise noticeable until the larvae mature.
